2024 WVAAPP Professional Development Summit

Registration is officially closed (July 9)  please no on-site registrations. If for some reason you need to register after July 9th you will need to email events@wvaapp.org  LODGING IS NOT INCLUDED-see details below

Meals: Meals and breaks are included with your registration. If you are bringing a guest they must register and pay the guest fee.  If you plan to bring someone who you would like to share in the meals they will need to be registered & pay the guest fee of $255. Youth tickets are for those 12 and UNDER and are $130 which will include meals/breaks.  Anyone 13 and older will need to register as a guest (adult) and the $255 fee applies. There are no exceptions to this requirement. 

Breakfast will be provided Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday- we believe in a hardy start to the day. We will have a full buffet each morning.

Lunch will be provided Tuesday, Wednesday &Thursday

Dinner will be provided Tuesday & Wednesday.

Tuesday evening will be our awards banquet in partnership with WVCBAPP. 

On Wednesday evening we will have a cookout and have our scholarship auction. Attendees are encouraged to bring items to the auction. For more details contact Brandon Whitehouse brandon.whitehouse@strongcommunities.org

If your registration doesn't match your membership status we will contact you. Any discrepancies/fees will need to be resolved prior to July 15.

Lodging: The Lodge At Canaan is SOLD OUT- if you are looking for lodging we suggest contacting Blackwater Falls Lodge, The Billy Motel or one of the local hotels in Elkins or

Dress is casual and as with any conference venue room temperatures fluctuate and we may not have control over the temperature that suits everyone so dress in layers/bring a sweater/jacket. 

Weather in Canaan in July can be quite cool in the evenings.

CE's Sessions are approved for those with credentials through WVCBAPP (PS1, PS2, PRSS, ADC, AADC, CCJP, CS).

Please see the session description to determine which sessions are approved for SW, Psychologists & LPCs as certain sessions are not approved by the boards. The "Schedule At A Glance" in the program provides a visual summary.

RECOVERY MEETINGS: There will be a variety of meetings offered - Space will be available for early birds to meet for 7am meetings and for night owls to meet around 9pm- more details will be available onsite. If you are interested in chairing a meeting please let us know when you check in at the registration table. 


PLEASE NOTE- Exhibit Staff tickets don't include CEs; If exhibit staff want/need CEs they need to register at the appropriate level/other option.


PLEASE NOTE-Refunds are not available- substitution with another attendee is an option but needs to be worked out prior to July 15- on site substitutions are not available. Email treasurer@wvaapp.org to discuss.
