2025 WVAAPP Preconference
Thank you for your interest in the Mental Health First Aid Pre Conference Event on July 21st
This is a separate event from the main WVAAPP 2025 Professional Development Summit which is July 22-24
REGISTRATION FOR MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID IS NOW CLOSED- Due to the homework before the event and the need to order materials we had to put a hard deadline in place.
Please do not attempt to register for any of the MHFA sessions
Registration for Supervision is still OPEN!
The manual and participant guide are being sponsored by Marshall University Center of Excellence for Recovery, which is a value of almost $30. Due to ordering materials,we must receive all registrations by the end of the day July6.
The WV Certification Board for Addiction & Prevention Professionals has a Mental Health Peer credential (WVCBAPP)- Adult Mental Health First Aid is one of the trainings that counts for the educational component https://www.wvcbapp.org/applications

Registration Due to ordering materials for MHFA we can't accept registrations after July 6. We are unable to have on-site registrations.

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch are on your own. We will provide an afternoon break. There is an onsite restaurant where you can get breakfast, coffee and lunch.

Dress is casual and as with any conference venue room temperatures fluctuate and we may not have control over the temperature that suits everyone so dress in layers/bring a sweater/jacket.
Weather in Canaan in July can be quite cool in the evenings.
CE's Sessions are approved for those with credentials through WVCBAPP (PS1, PS2, PRSS-SUD, PRSS-MH, ADC, AADC, CCJP, CS).
Please NOTE- We are applying for CEs for SW, Psychologists & LPCs however these are not yet approved by the boards. We will update this site as approvals are given.
